What are our plush toys made from?

Many of our plush toys combine soft-touch outer fabrics with lightweight filling to create their cuddly feel. Depending on the design, you may find smooth plush fabrics, velvety textures and soft PP cotton filling.

Soft plush outer fabrics

Soft-touch plush fabric gives many of our toys their smooth and huggable outer surface. The texture works especially well for plushies designed for cuddling, relaxing or adding a cosy touch to a bedroom or sofa.

Different designs have different fabric finishes, so some plushies feel smoother while others have a fluffier or more velvety texture.

What is PP cotton filling?

Many of our plush toys use PP cotton filling. PP cotton is a soft synthetic fibre filling commonly used inside plush toys and cushions.

Its lightweight, springy texture helps create the soft, squishy feel associated with cuddly plushies while helping the toy retain its shape.

PP cotton filling works particularly well in plush pillows and animal-shaped designs where softness and shape both matter.

How to care for your plush

Care instructions vary between plush designs, so always follow the guidance shown on the individual product page or product label.

For light surface marks, gentle spot cleaning with a soft cloth is suitable for many plush toys. Avoid harsh cleaning products and allow the plush to dry thoroughly before using it again.

Where an individual product has different washing instructions, those instructions should always take priority.

We want you to be happy with your order from The Plush Pillow UK. This Returns & Refund Policy explains your rights if you change your mind, receive a damaged or faulty item, or experience a problem with your order.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

Change-of-Mind Returns

For most products purchased online, you have 14 days from the day you receive your order to tell us that you wish to cancel and return it.

After notifying us, you then have a further 14 days to send the goods back.

You do not need to give us a reason for cancelling.

To start a return, email contactus@theplushpillow.co.uk with your order number and the item you wish to return. We will provide the return instructions and return address.

Condition of Returned Items

You are entitled to inspect a product in a similar way to how you would examine it in a shop.

Please take reasonable care of the item while it is in your possession and return it with its original packaging where reasonably possible.

If an item has been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect its nature, characteristics and condition, and this has reduced its value, an appropriate deduction may be made from the refund where permitted by law.

Opening normal product or delivery packaging does not automatically remove your right to return an eligible item.

Return Postage for Change-of-Mind Returns

For eligible change-of-mind returns, you are responsible for the cost of returning the item to us unless we agree otherwise.

We strongly recommend using a tracked postal service and keeping your proof of postage until your refund has been completed.

The Plush Pillow UK is not responsible for the cost of change-of-mind return postage unless we have agreed to cover it.

Items That Cannot Be Returned for Change of Mind

Some products are excluded from the statutory right to cancel. Where relevant, these include:

• products made to your specification or clearly personalised for you
• sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once the seal has been broken, where this legal exception applies
• other products specifically excluded from cancellation rights under applicable UK consumer law

A plush toy, cushion or pillow is not automatically excluded from returns simply because its packaging has been opened. Any health or hygiene exclusion will only be applied where the product genuinely meets the relevant legal requirements.

These exclusions do not remove your rights where an item is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described.

Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, incorrect or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible at contactus@theplushpillow.co.uk.

For damage that appears to have happened during delivery, contacting us within 48 hours is helpful because it allows us to investigate the issue quickly with the delivery provider. The 48-hour request does not limit your statutory rights.

Please include:

• your order number
• a brief description of the problem
• clear photographs of the item and packaging where relevant

Photos help us assess the issue but do not replace or restrict your statutory rights.

Your Rights if Goods Are Faulty

Products supplied by The Plush Pillow UK must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for their intended purpose.

If a product is faulty, your rights depend on when the problem is identified and the circumstances involved.

During the first 30 days, you may have the right to reject faulty goods and receive a refund.

After the initial 30-day period, you may have rights to a repair or replacement and, where the legal requirements are met, a price reduction or refund.

Your legal rights for faulty goods continue beyond any separate returns period stated for change-of-mind returns.

Return Costs for Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

If we confirm that an item needs to be returned because it is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described, we will arrange an appropriate return method or reimburse reasonable return costs where required.

Please contact us before arranging an expensive return service so that we can provide suitable return instructions.

Refunds for Change-of-Mind Returns

Once an eligible return has been received, we will process your refund in accordance with the applicable statutory time limits.

For an eligible cancellation, your refund will include the price paid for the returned goods and the cost of our standard delivery service where you originally paid a delivery charge.

If you selected a delivery service that was more expensive than our standard delivery option, we are not required to refund the additional premium delivery cost.

The cost of returning a change-of-mind item remains your responsibility unless we agreed otherwise.

When Will I Receive My Refund?

Eligible refunds will normally be issued within 14 days of us receiving the returned goods or, where permitted, receiving satisfactory evidence that the goods have been returned.

Refunds will normally be sent back through the original payment method.

Once we have issued the refund, your bank or payment provider may take additional time to display the funds in your account. This processing time is outside our control.

Order Cancellations Before Dispatch

If you want to cancel an order before it has been dispatched, contact us as soon as possible at contactus@theplushpillow.co.uk.

We will do our best to stop the order before dispatch, but we cannot guarantee that cancellation will be possible once processing has started.

If an eligible order has already been dispatched, your statutory cancellation and return rights still apply.

Any product that is genuinely personalised or made to your specification may be excluded from change-of-mind cancellation rights once applicable, but this does not affect your rights if the product is faulty or not as described.

Delivery Problems

Please check your delivery address carefully before placing your order.

If you notice an error after ordering, contact us as soon as possible. We will try to update the details before dispatch, although changes cannot be guaranteed once an order has entered processing or been sent.

If an order is returned to us solely because the customer supplied an incorrect or incomplete delivery address, additional delivery costs may apply where permitted.

If a parcel is lost or damaged while being delivered using a delivery service arranged by The Plush Pillow UK, please contact us so we can investigate and provide the appropriate remedy.

Refused or Uncollected Deliveries

If a parcel is returned to us because delivery was refused or it was not collected, please contact us.

Where the order qualifies for statutory cancellation rights, we will handle the return and refund in accordance with those rights. Additional delivery costs resulting from a requested re-delivery may apply.

Sale Items

Sale and discounted products have the same statutory rights as full-price products.

If a product was reduced specifically because of a fault that was clearly brought to your attention before purchase, you will not normally be entitled to claim that the disclosed fault makes the product defective.

Exchanges

If you would prefer another product, size or design, please contact us.

Where an exchange is not available, the simplest option may be to return an eligible product for a refund and place a new order.

How to Cancel an Eligible Online Order

You may cancel an eligible order by sending us a clear statement confirming that you wish to cancel.

You do not have to use a particular form. Emailing us at contactus@theplushpillow.co.uk with your name, order number and confirmation that you wish to cancel is sufficient.
